Koh Phangan

5th July continued

We arrived bright and early to catch the ferry over to Koh Phangan. We are staying in Longtail Beach Resort on the North East coast. It is adorable, so perfect.. if only we could have Koh Tao's beach here too. The bungalows are so sweet with hammocks and wind chums. For lunch we ordered a chicken sandwich which was delicious then headed to the viewpoint. Was a steeper walk than expected... For breakfast we ate at Nina's Bakery mmmm!

7th July

Yesterday we had planned to go beach hopping but it was soo expensive, we really wanted to see Bottle Beach :(. Instead, we walked to the opposite bay to ours to chill out!

Today we went to Anthong Marine National Park which consists of 42 islands. The taxi picked us up at 8am and hopped onto some oldy worldy brown boat. The sea was unbelievably choppy that caused one girl to throw up over the boat. Firstly I jumped off the diving board to snorkel however the sea wasn't that clear unlike Koh Tao.  After some lunch we headed to Emerald Lagoon via kayak which was stunning then climbed another viewpoint! The view was incredible, defiantly worth the hike up!

Koh Samui

5th July

Here comes the monsoon season, hence a perfect time to catch up with life!
We arrived at Koh Samui & were taken to a hotel named 'The Loft'... well.. at first they put us into a room with just a double matress?! Ha, thanks but no thanks. So I ended up going back to complain and they moved us into a room with actually beds which was nice. Straight away we headed to Chewang beach. The beach is beautiful however it is very much the tourist side of the island full of resorts.
For dinner we ate at a bar and grill and I also got my shellacs re-done (happy girl). We then chilled at a bar with a live band which was relaxing.

6th July

Today we set out to find the view point. After a standard egg and baguette at Cafe Uno we walked along the beach and over some rocks but ended up on a nicer beach so just sunbathed there. For lunch we headed back to the Chewang and had a beef satay with peanut butter sauce (god I miss Thai food). One of the best places we have ate so far on this trip was tonight at Ninja Crepes. It looks like a dump but it was so authentic that it didn't matter. I had big noodles and Ally had egg noodles... then of course we ordered some mango with sticky rice! Mmmmm.
Been struggling to walk lately as I cut my foot on a rock in the beach so it was a bit of a slow walk to the bar tonight.. Ark Bar. Watched a storm in the distance with some fire dancers and pina coladaaaaa!!

Chiang Mai #4 & Koh Tao

27th June

Just returned from Thai boxing which is a must see in Thailand, was bloody hilarious. One round ended up with 5/6 guys in the ring blindfolded and just swinging and missing each other..(will insert a video near the end of my Thailand adventure). However the rest was a little uncomfortable to watch, unless you enjoy seeing young guys getting hit.
Breakfast was beautiful today. We walked to Breakfast World in the old town and ate a full English along with a banana shake! I know... an English breakfast in Thailand? But it really was well needed. After a lot of walking lately we booked a spa day at Fah Lanna Spa. For 900 bht we had a foot scrub/foot reflexology massage as well as a full body Thai massage. The foot massage was perfect... little unsure on the Thai massage though ha. They put you in some very uncomfortable positions but I am sure it was doing the trick.

2nd July

Oopsie. I seem to forgot to write in the diary. We got the sleeper train back down to Bangkok the other night. I was a nervous wreck again but we got talking to 4 guys who were heading back home after a month in Thailand. We joined them to the party carriage which was hilarious!

The next day we filled in Bangkok by seeing the park and then the huge shopping centers! After catching a second train down to Chumpion we hopped onto the ferry to Koh Tao!!!

3rd July

Today was incredible! We ate at Big Fish off our resort (Koh Tao Beach Resort) with the standard fried eggs on toast. At 9:30 our taxi arrived to take us to the pier which took us to five different bays around the islands to go snorkeling. At first I struggled.. god knows why ha! The first bay was shark bay but unfortunately I saw none although some other people in the group saw several. The next few stops were beautiful. Amazing coral and tropical fish, just wish I had an under water camera!

Lunch was pretty decent for a boat trip, chicken with rice. For 100 bht we then stopped off at Koh Nang Yuan, the most stunning island! The view point was lovely as were their banana shakes! Also got back home to find out I graduate with a 2:1! We went for dinner at a place called Fizz on the beach with bean bags and amazing cocktails!!
